VILLA HAMALA
Location : Hamala. Bahrain
Type : Single Family House

One of our special projects for a client in Bahrain embraced a clean line, contemporary concept, seamlessly integrating modern aesthetics with traditional elements. To achieve this, we used board-formed concrete to create a striking contrast with smooth concrete and white plaster walls. This juxtaposition not only enhances visual appeal but also creates a tactile experience. The design extends the external wall textures inside, fostering a holistic and interconnected ambiance. Large double-height walls serve a dual purpose, offering both a visually stunning facade and functional shade to exposed areas, enhancing comfort in open spaces with extensive glazing.

Internally, the use of traditional breeze blocks offsets the contemporary design, anchoring the project to the roots of Middle Eastern architecture. These blocks allow for filtered sunlight and airflow, creating dynamic shadows that change with the sun’s movement. Incorporating water bodies inside the house naturally cools the space while adding to the visual and sensory experience. Luxury materials and features are thoughtfully integrated throughout, ensuring an elegant yet comfortable living environment. Strategic use of glazing connects the indoors with beautiful outdoor desert gardens, creating a seamless blend between interior and exterior spaces and fostering a homely, inviting atmosphere.
