CANOPY HOUSE

This elegant contemporary home is named for its canopy-like structures that greet you at the entrance, both adding a beautiful Architectural statement and serving as a shading device. The design features clean lines and utilizes board-formed concrete walls, seamlessly blending some external finishes into the interior. Thoughtfully positioned curved screens add a touch of sophistication to the façade.

 

The challenge of the rapidly sloping site was met by designing a gradually descending three-level structure. The use of varying floor materials helps soften the transitions between these levels.

Large windows are a prominent feature, enhancing the connection between the internal living areas and the lush external gardens, allowing natural light to flood the home. The inclusion of pocket gardens throughout the property serves to create intimate pauses and encourage a natural flow of movement within the space. This thoughtful design choice fosters a sense of tranquillity and connection to nature. The interiors boast high-end modern materials, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms, which exude luxury and elevate the living experience.
